5 Tips for Surviving Daylight Savings

Your guide to adjusting to the changing daylight hours and turning back the clock.

Autumn is here. Daylight hours are getting shorter and our time with the moonlight is getting longer. When we align the rhythms of our bodies with the environment, we’re better able to handle daily life and adapt to change along the way. Let’s let nature be our guide. We’ve pulled together a few of our go-to ideas – simple and accessible yet substantial – to promote seasonal wellbeing and alignment. Reminder: Daylight Savings Time ends on Sunday, November 6, 2022 until next spring.

  1. Stay Present with the Transition:

Light candles at dusk. In the living room,  kitchen, bathroom and any other areas where you plan to spend time. The glowing amber light will assist with day-to-night transition and will warm your heart. It’s been shown that bringing natural elements inside helps elevate your mood. So grab a candle and book of matches and  spark up a new ritual for your evenings.

  2. Embrace the Season:

Get outside! Take the time to get into nature and open your senses to fully experience the beauty of Autumn. Go for a hike to see the leaves turn or take a canteen of Medicinal Hot Chocolate to a bench by the water to sip and restore.

  3. Bliss Out All Day:

Lack of sunlight can trigger depression and anxiety. Elevate your energy levels and boost your mood with our Bliss CBD Sparkling Water and Bliss CBD Oil. CBD Beverages are a great functional alternative to sugar-filled beverages and a refreshing way to incorporate CBD into your daily routine. Taken orally on a daily basis, CBD oil tinctures can provide amazing benefits for overall health and wellness. Results are cumulative and will carry you through the cooler months ahead.

  4. Cook Once, Eat Twice:

Take the time to plan ahead to maximize your efforts while in the kitchen to be able to spend more time with family and friends during the vibrant daytime hours. Prepare a meal ahead of time or when making dinner, make enough to have lunch the following day. A tip that one of our founders, Allison Vaillancourt, has embraced to align full family schedules.

  5. Body Revival Moments:

It’s no secret that here at BLNCD Naturals we love to find ways to up level wellness and spend time connecting with our inner nature. We suggest a full body self massage at least once a week with BLNCD CBD Body Revival Oil or Lotion to get stagnant energy moving and to deeply hydrate. The more you nourish the skin, the better you prepare your immune system.

Can you tell we have a main theme in mind for the season? Slow down and restore mindfulness to daily life. Connect to self and your changing environment for grounding. Find the tools that support you and feel good. As always, your BLNCD Naturals family is here to support you.
